• Meal Preparation: Cook and season food in large quantities following standardized recipes, production sheets, and scheduled meal times.

• Specialized Diets: Adapt meals for therapeutic or modified needs, such as pureed, mechanical soft, low-sodium, or diabetic diets.

• Safety & Sanitation: Monitor hot and cold food temperatures, log readings, and maintain a clean, sanitized workstation to prevent foodborne illness.

• Inventory & Ordering: Check food supplies, stock inventory, and report food or equipment needs to the Dietary Manager.

• Compliance: Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and safety/disaster guidelines.

• Run commercial washing machines and dryers.

• Fold, count, and store clean linens.

• Label personal resident clothing to prevent loss.

• Deliver clean laundry back to resident rooms.

Core Responsibilities

• Room Sanitation: Clean and disinfect resident bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily, including dusting furniture, wiping rails, and mopping floors.

• Infection Control: Follow universal precautions, proper handwashing, and correct chemical dilution and storage to prevent germ spread. 

• Waste Management: Empty trash bins, replace liners, and safely transport waste from utility rooms to disposal areas.

• Resident Interaction: Knock and announce presence before entering rooms, respect personal belongings, and communicate warmly with residents.

• Safety & Maintenance Reporting: Keep hallways clear of hazards, report broken equipment, burnt-out lights, or facility maintenance needs promptly.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of the facility’s buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role addresses routine work orders and emergency repairs while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and local healthcare safety codes. Because this role operates within a residential healthcare facility, the worker must interact tactfully and empathetically with elderly or medically fragile residents. 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

🛠️ Facility & Equipment Maintenance

• Routine Repairs: Fix broken equipment, patch and paint drywall, repair damaged flooring (carpet, tile, vinyl), and handle minor woodwork or furniture repairs. 

• Plumbing & Electrical: Perform minor plumbing tasks (unclogging drains, fixing leaky faucets, replacing toilet fixtures) and basic electrical upkeep (replacing light bulbs, fixing ballasts, resetting breakers). 

• HVAC Systems: Monitor and conduct basic preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment to ensure resident comfort. 

• Resident Rooms: Respond promptly to individual resident room maintenance requests (e.g., repairing nurse call lights, adjusting hospital beds, securing handrails). 

📋 Safety & Regulatory Compliance

• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, and exit doors in accordance with Life Safety Codes.

• Waste Management: Safely handle, treat, and dispose of medical/biohazardous waste and general trash according to environmental and facility regulations.

• Hazard Control: Correctly utilize Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and safely manage hazardous chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS). 

🌳 Grounds & Exterior Care

• Seasonal Upkeep: Maintain walkways and entryways by performing snow and ice removal during winter.

• Landscaping: Perform basic yard work, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and removing exterior debris to ensure a clean property appearance.

Position Summary

The Activity Aide delivers person-centered care by engaging residents in meaningful daily activities tailored to their individual care plans. This role bridges social interaction and healthcare support, ensuring residents remain active, connected, and respected.

Key Responsibilities

• Activity Facilitation: Assist in planning, setting up, and leading group and individual activities (such as arts, crafts, music, exercises, games, and parties). 

• Resident Engagement: Encourage resident participation, offer gentle redirection or personal assistance, and transport residents to and from events. 

• Documentation & Tracking: Record resident attendance, participation levels, and behavioral or emotional responses according to facility guidelines. 

• Environment & Safety: Keep activity areas clean, organized, and free of hazards; store supplies safely; and assist with seasonal/holiday facility decorations. 

• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Communicate observations regarding changes in a resident’s mood, physical condition, or cognitive response to nursing and social services teams. 

• Outings & Transportation: Help coordinate and chaperone community outings, sometimes driving facility vans or buses if properly licensed.
