Dietary Cook

A skilled nursing facility (SNF) dietary cook prepares nutritious meals for residents in accordance with federal, state, and local health regulations, dietician-approved menus, and specific therapeutic diet orders.
Key Respoonsibilities:
Meal Preparation: Cook and season food in large quantities following standardized recipes, production sheets, and scheduled meal times.
Specialized Diets: Adapt meals for therapeutic or modified needs, such as pureed, mechanical soft, low-sodium, or diabetic diets.
Safety & Sanitation: Monitor hot and cold food temperatures, log readings, and maintain a clean, sanitized workstation to prevent foodborne illness.
Inventory & Ordering: Check food supplies, stock inventory, and report food or equipment needs to the Dietary Manager.
Compliance: Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and safety/disaster guidelines.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: We will train the right candidate.
Skills: Ability to read and follow diet cards/recipes, basic leadership skills, and a compassionate approach toward elderly residents.
Dietary Aide

We are currently hiring a Dietary Aide in our skilled nursing facility this position helps the dietary cook, serves food, sets up dining areas, and cleans the kitchen while following special diet rules for our residents.
Main Duties
Food Prep & Service: Set up food trays, pour drinks, and prepare snacks.
Resident Care: Serve meals to rooms or the dining room, follow therapeutic diet plans, and take menu choices.
Kitchen Sanitation: Wash dishes, clean equipment, wipe tables, take out trash, and sweep or mop floors.
Stock & Safety: Check food temperatures, store food safely, and restock supplies.
Job Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is often preferred, but many facilities hire at age 16+ and provide on-the-job training.
Skills: Ability to read and follow recipes, track special diets, and use basic communication skills.
Physical Needs: Ability to stand for long periods, and lift or push up to 50 pounds.
Traits: Patience, a positive attitude, and compassion for older adults.
Laundry Aide

cleans, sorts, and distributes resident clothes and facility linens. They follow strict safety and infection rules to keep residents healthy and comfortable.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and sort dirty clothes and bed sheets.
Run commercial washing machines and dryers.
Fold, count, and store clean linens.
Label personal resident clothing to prevent loss.
Deliver clean laundry back to resident rooms.
Follow infection control and safety rule
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift heavy laundry bags and stand for long times.
Good attention to detail to track resident items.
Knowledge of basic cleaning safety.
Housekeeping Aide

A skilled nursing facility housekeeping aide maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, managing waste, and adhering to strict infection control policies while showing patience and respect toward elderly residents
Core Responsibilities
Room Sanitation: Clean and disinfect resident bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily, including dusting furniture, wiping rails, and mopping floors.
Infection Control: Follow universal precautions, proper handwashing, and correct chemical dilution and storage to prevent germ spread.
Waste Management: Empty trash bins, replace liners, and safely transport waste from utility rooms to disposal areas.
Resident Interaction: Knock and announce presence before entering rooms, respect personal belongings, and communicate warmly with residents.
Safety & Maintenance Reporting: Keep hallways clear of hazards, report broken equipment, burnt-out lights, or facility maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and push cleaning carts for long periods; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Communication: Read, write, and speak English well enough to follow chemical safety labels and talk with residents and staff.
Soft Skills: Patience, compassion, reliability, and a respectful attitude toward older adults and team members.
Experience: High school diploma or equivalent usually preferred; prior cleaning or healthcare environment experience is a plus, but on-the-job training is frequently provided.
Activity Director

A nursing home activity director plans, organizes, and directs social, recreational, and therapeutic programs to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents. The right candidate will be able to take the Activity Director course while working in the position. We will train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Assessments & Care Plans: Interview residents, conduct physical and cognitive evaluations, and create individualized recreation plans that fit into overall care goals.
Event Programming: Design balanced monthly calendars featuring games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, music therapy, and community outings.
Department & Volunteer Management: Oversee activity assistants, recruit and train volunteers, and manage departmental budgets and supply inventories.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain detailed participation records and represent the department during state or federal health surveys.
North Dakota Qualifications & Regulations
Under N.D. Admin Code 33-07-03.2-20, long-term care facilities must employ a qualified activity coordinator to direct these services. Qualifications typically include: [1]
An individual certified as a therapeutic recreation specialist by a recognized accrediting body, eligible for certification, or activity director certified by a recognized accrediting body.
Experience: Many regional employers prefer or require relevant experience in geriatrics, social services, or healthcare recreation.
Certifications: CPR certification and a valid driver's license (often for driving resident transport vans) are commonly required upon hire.
